Moving forward, parents will have two options regarding their child’s participation in school assemblies. (Pep assemblies are not included in this process.)

DEFAULT OPTION — Your child attends assemblies unless you opt them out.
All students will automatically be allowed to attend school assemblies. Before an assembly, an Opt-Out form will be sent home. If you do not want your child to attend that particular assembly, simply return the form. No form = your child attends.

ASSEMBLY OPT-IN LIST — Your child does NOT attend unless you give permission.
Parents who prefer to give permission before each individual assembly may place their child on our Assembly Opt-In List. Students on this list will not attend an assembly unless we receive parent permission for that specific assembly.

If you would like your child placed on the Assembly Opt-In List, please contact Linda Holden at lholden@tbschools.org.

In short:
• Not on the Opt-In List → Your child attends unless you say NO.
• On the Opt-In List → Your child does not attend unless you say YES.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
